Exhibition Opening: Fri 20 June 2008 / 8pm
Officiated by Nurul Izzah Anwar

Venue: The Annexe Gallery, Central Market Annexe
Exhibition period: Sat 21 Jun – Fri 4 Jul, 2008, 11am to 7pm daily

The Exhibition
One of Malaysia’s brightest young artistic talents Saiful Razman
presents his first solo exhibition, entitled Pelan-Pelan Dan Bilik
Gerakan. Tackling the theme of urban fatigue and psychological stress
of the sensibility-numbing life in the Klang Valley where Saiful lives
and works, the artist puts city life squarely in focus in his latest
works. Among the subjects Saiful tackles include media overload,
religious and moral hypocrisy, monocultural and monotheistic tyranny,
and right-wing chauvinist ideologies.

MUSE Rocked!

OK OK. I went, even though I’m not that big a fan, and The Girl wanted to go, so I went. But think about it, who else is going to come to Malaysia (apparently N.O.F.X. and maybe Incubus – more t.b.a.) We got there around 7pm and almost everyone was dressed in black. I could almost imagine them Harian Metro headlines.

I was looking around YouTube and found this video of Nao performing on Day 1.

More videos from Lainie (she has a lot of videos from both days of the WPFD gig) or you can search YouTube.

Much thanks to Lainie. If anyone else has any more video links, please let me know.

So what did I do on this historic date? I watched The Exorcist. I’ve had the DVD in my album for quite a while now but I could never get up the courage (haha, yeah laugh it up) to watch the movie alone and/or at night. I have vague memories of watching this movie on VHS and it scared me shitless, but then again, even E.T. scared me.
